On the very first day of summer break, even before breakfast, the first words out of Caitlin's mouth this morning were:
"I'm bored!"*
It's gonna be a loooooong summer.
* I'm not even kidding. You can't make this stuff up!

ReplyDeletewell let's see - there are weeds to be pulled, dishes to wash, compost to turn, birds, cats, and other small animals to feed and watch; books to read, birthday party to plan - maybe she could start making decorations; and if that's not enough - her aunti has some weeds also, maybe a couple of rooms to paint - I'd be willing to pay her in visits to the Museum(s) of her choice, possibly a ride up to Canada, or some such diversion, but she'd have to come to NY.
