He'd just spent the last 25 minutes trying to install his scanner (so that I may bring you more Caitlin artwork goodness) under Linux and it wasn't working. And wasn't working. And still wasn't working. Then suddenly, he stood up and noticed a lonely little grey cord that was not plugged into the switch thingy. Bugger if I know what it is - lots of important cords are plugged into it and the Internet Goodness does not happen if the switch gets knocked to the floor by...say a cat or knocked out by a pregnant woman's feet. Accidentally, you know.
Yes. Technical people. And they make fun of the rest of us for not checking that our cords are plugged in.
