Do you hear that? Me neither!

That is the sound of napping babies.

Sounds kinda like screaming babies to start with, but then they get the silky edge of the nubbly blankets next to their cheeks and suddenly...

*crickets*

Ahhhh!

I think they may be on the same sleep cycle as was mentioned by Jen in Amazing Trips here. That's "Trips" as in Triplets. Three three year olds. Yeah. She has an entire series about sleeping and napping since she's trying to get her 7 month old into a good sleep cycle.

Triplets.

And we think twins are tough!

So I guess you could say the twins are down for their First Nap, right around 9 am.

Logan's screaming clued us in.

We may not be the sharpest knives in the drawer at the moment, but we can get a clue eventually. Also, as Sarah told us, sleep begets more sleep. We've been trying to figure out naps ever since we had that conversation. I think we're finally getting somewhere, since the twins have been going to bed at 8:15 - 8:30 pm for the last week or so. They keep waking up to nurse around 10:30 pm - 12 am or so, but then they sleep again until about 4 am. Even Emma, the champion sleeper, is waking more regularly. Frustrating!

Ah well. We'll get there.

There, of course, being here only with more sleep.

Updated to add: Logan just woke up 1.5 hours later. Happy. Ahhh!

that's great! it is so hard when they cry, but i try to remember that they know nothing except what we teach them, and it is better on everyone if they have a consistant sleep schedule.

You can do it!!

Seriously, it was easier for me to sleep train our triplets - WAY EASIER - than it is to sleep train our singleton. With the triplets, our schedule REVOLVED around them. With Henry, I try to squeeze in his naps whenever I can. You'll have your twins sleeping 12 hours at night and napping 1-3 hours at a pop in no time. Just stick with it and watch for their sleep cues!!

Hi Jen! Thanks for dropping by!

The big question seems to revolve around the snacking at night. Theirs, not mine. : )

Logan wakes up starving and then passes back out. Emma wakes up sometimes, but not always. Any ideas?

What is this "sleeping" of which you speak?
